COMMITMENT

No sale!

"Commitment" is a bit of a bold expression in English, but today I would like to share with you the promise we would like to make to all CINCH/Oblada fans and to the factories and fabric makers who make our products.

It is sudden!
There is a monaka from a long-established Japanese confectionery shop in Ginza.
It is a famous store that sells out its products. (I will refrain from mentioning the store name, but if you google it you will find it.)
Their monaka wafers are super popular and sell out every day, so wouldn't they sell more if they increased the amount they made?
But I think there is a reason or aesthetic behind the store not increasing production. I love that attitude, and it makes the monaka taste even more delicious. Of course, it's delicious.

We believe that this is how a store should be.
"Make only as much as you can sell." If you could do this, there would be no need for sales.

For example, if you buy a coat in December, you'll be really disappointed if that coat goes on sale in January.
I think it would be a shame for the factories to deliver the coats they worked so hard on in September only to have them go on sale four months later. That's why we only make what we can sell in that season and don't put them on sale. It's very simple.
Even if any items remain unsold, there will be no sale.
They could just release it with a new style next season, and if they are going to discount it, shouldn't they wait until at least next season?

I want to run my brand and store with this mindset. There is a word called "sustainable," but I believe that true sustainability starts with cherishing things.

We will continue to promote the joy of fashion through this philosophy!
