[KEEN] WAIMEA TG
[KEEN] WAIMEA TG
DESCRIPTION
I came across the Waimea sandals at a KEEN exhibition I attended after being invited by Kishima-san, whom I met during my time at Shinzone.
Of course I knew about KEEN, but I didn't know much about it, so it was at the exhibition that I first learned about KEEN's manufacturing process and was impressed by how amazing their gear products are.
At first glance they look like plain flip-flops, but what's amazing is the sole.
Ordinary sandals are made from a single piece of rubber, but these KEEN sandals have a separate sole and a two-layer structure, so they can be worn like sneakers.
So it's not tiring at all and it's easy to walk.
And the design!
By covering your thumb, it is perfect for short trips outdoors, and it's so cute!
This design has an indescribable accent that's difficult to describe, but to me it's an element that makes the design look "intelligent."
I like the style of foreign tourists, and I think there is a cultural element to it.
This is a really difficult nuance to convey.
And to reiterate,
Setting the difficult stuff aside, I'd love for you to try on the Waimea!
